HOW IT GOT STARTED
In India, more than 10 lakh students enrol for a BSc degree and stand at fourth position in producing Ph.D. scholars. Still, we lack in research and struggle for scientific/ teaching/ IT jobs. The Problem with the Science grads is that they think BSc is a basic degree and always need an immediate higher degree to get a job. That is the reason it is highly underrated compared to what I have seen in UK.
I am thankful for the opportunities I am able to grab, but I always felt the absence of an older brother or sister who could have guided me well. A lot of people helped me get where I am by sharing their experiences, which I consider as my good luck. I don't want the luck factor to play such a huge role and hence decided to do something about it. This is why I came up with the idea of UNIGOOD through which I can reach as many students as possible. Me along with one of my friend started UniGood with a vision to guide, motivate and counsel science students towards a better future. I want to make sure each science student feels confident when it comes to making a good career. Enrich them with all possible knowledge in the world I am aware of and simultaneously motivate them towards their goal. We will provide them with possible opportunities, workshops, and a sneak peek into the life of a scientist, lecturers, people working in private sectors, and a lot more.
